LUSOCRISTAL has as its primary objective the implementation of Food Safety Management System based on the Principals of HACCP. The company has senior consultants with more than 30 years of international experience in the hotel, restaurant, and retail and distribution business.
On the 1st January 2006 the Regulation (CE) 852/2004 of 29 April which establishes regulations regarding Hygiene of General Foodstuffs came into force.
At the same time A.S.A.E. – Autoridade de Segurança Alimentar e Económica (the Portuguese Food Safety and Economic Activities Authority) was commissioned to control the implementation of HACCP based systems and, through Decreto-Lei 113/2006 of 12 July, ensure that the obligations of the Regulation (CE) 852/2004 were applied in Portugal.
By bringing together the legal requirements and applying both HACCP principals as well as 4C’s process as recommended by the Food Standards Agency in England, ForeSee created a simplified system for the implementation and monitoring, including in its platform checking processes for Potable Water, Swimming Pools and Legionella prevention protocols.
The ForeSee Food Safety system, through the implementation of common standards, auditing and Benchmarking system, allow our clients to compare levels of food hygiene, water, swimming pools and legionella prevention between different areas, departments, responsibilities, units, geographic regions and countries.
LUSOCRISTAL maintains close relationships with the Portuguese authorities and is the partner with the Portuguese Hoteliers Association.
